چکیده
Abstract Background Post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS) is a frequent chronic complication of proximal deep vein thrombosis (DVT) the lower limb, but predictors PTS are not well established. We aimed to examine in patients with long-term following DVT. Methods During 2006–09, 209 first time acute upper femoral or iliofemoral DVT were randomized receive either additional catheter-directed thrombolysis conventional therapy alone. In 2017, 170 still-living participants invited participate cross-sectional follow-up study. absence gold standard diagnostic test, was defined line clinical practice by four mandatory, predefined criteria: 1. An objectively verified DVT; 2. Chronic complaints (> 1 month) leg; 3. Complaints appeared after and 4. alternative diagnosis unlikely. Possible identified multivariate logistic regression. Results Eighty-eight (52%) included 8–10 years index DVT, 44 (50%) diagnosed criteria. Younger age higher baseline Villalta score found be independent PTS, i.e., OR 0.96 (95% CI, 0.93–0.99), 1.23 1.02–1.49), respectively. Lack patency at six months significant bivariate analysis, did prove adjustments. Conclusions follow up high younger PTS.

Incidence and Clinical Signs of Post Thrombotic Syndrome in Patients with Deep Vein Thrombosis in a Three-year Follow-up
Background and purpose: Despite extensive studies on prevention and management of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), less attention has been paid to chronic venous insufficiency. The persend study aimed to investegite the incidence and clinical signs of post thrombotic syndrome in patients with deep vein thrombosis. Materials and methods: A descriptive retrospective study was done in patients with DV...

BACKGROUND Reasons for the variation in response of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) to anticoagulation treatment are not known. Some patients develop complications such as post-thrombotic syndrome or recurrent DVT but others make a full recovery. The aim of the study is to identify the level of variation in response to anticoagulation treatment and provide more precise and quantitative disease chara...

Context Post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS) is a chronic complication of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) characterised by clinical features ranging from minor limb swelling to leg ulceration. One in three patients with DVT will develop PTS sequelae within 5 years, with most cases reported within the first 2 years. Venous hypertension, resulting from valvular reflux and residual thrombus, is implicated ...

متن کاملDiabetes mellitus-associated hyperglycemia is a risk factor for recurring deep vein thrombosis and post-thrombotic syndrome-a cohort study
Objective: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the risk factors for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). However, whether DM-associated hyperglycemia (HG) increases the incidence of recurrence in patients with a history of DVT is unknown. We performed a retrospective cohort study to identify the role of DM-associated HG in predicting DVT complications. Methods: One thousand two ...
